Overview

This 5-day Xi’an tour explores one of China’s most historically significant cities — a place that served as capital for thirteen dynasties including the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang, and as the eastern starting point of the Silk Road. From the Terracotta Warriors of the First Qin Emperor to the Tang Dynasty cultural quarter along Grand Tang Ever-Bright City, the itinerary moves through over two thousand years of Chinese imperial history in a single coherent route.

The first two full days cover the Tang Dynasty heritage of the city centre: Shaanxi History Museum, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and its temple precinct, Xi’an Art Museum, the Tang Paradise cultural park, and the live cultural show “The Longest Day in Chang’an.” Day three shifts to the eastern suburbs, with a morning at the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor and its Terracotta Warriors, an afternoon at Huaqing Palace with its imperial hot spring gardens and a cableway ascent of Mount Li, and an evening at the “Song of Everlasting Regret” outdoor performance. Day four stays within the ancient city walls, taking in the Xi’an City Wall, the Forest of Stone Steles Museum, and the cultural lanes of Shuyuanmen, Xiangzimiao Street, and Defu Lane. The tour closes on the morning of Day five with a visit to the Drum Tower before the departure transfer.

Throughout the journey, a private car is on call around the clock, accommodation is in hotels of 4-star standard and above alongside select folk-style guesthouses, and a curated sequence of named Xi’an restaurants provides a structured introduction to local cuisine.
